The police had received information that two suspicious persons were looking for customers to sell illegal drugs in Transport Nagar Tatibandh. Based on this information, a police team led by Sub Inspector Ramesh Chand Yadav reached the spot and surrounded the area and caught both the accused. During interrogation, the accused were identified as Daljit Singh (21) and Gurbaj Singh (26), who are originally from Punjab but were currently living in Hirapur RDA Colony, Raipur.
6.67 grams of heroin (worth Rs 33,350) was recovered from accused Daljit Singh and 73.64 grams of heroin (worth Rs 3,68,200) was recovered from Gurbaj Singh. In total, 80 grams 31 milligrams of heroin was seized.
