Labor Commissioner Chhattisgarh has fixed the minimum wage rates for workers working in various scheduled employments from October 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024, on the basis of the Consumer Price Index and Variable Dearness Allowance released by the Labor Bureau, Shimla. These rates have been set as new minimum wage rates for workers per day and per month for 45 scheduled employments, agricultural employment, agarbatti employment and tobacco manufacturing (which also includes beedi making). After the implementation of the fixed rates of minimum wage, now the minimum wage has been fixed at Rs 10 thousand 620 per month for unskilled laborers in Zone ‘A’, Rs 10 thousand 360 for Zone ‘B’ and Rs 10 thousand 100 per month for Zone ‘C’. Is. Similarly, semi-skilled workers will be paid a minimum of Rs 11,270 per month for Zone ‘A’, Rs 11,101 for Zone ‘B’ and Rs 10,750 for Zone ‘C’. The minimum wage fixed for agricultural workers has increased by Rs 140 per month for unskilled agricultural workers.
