Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uikey virtually participated in the foundation day celebrations of Chhattisgarh Private University Regulatory Commission today. He congratulated the Commission for successfully completing 17 years and said that commendable efforts were made by the Commission to maintain the quality and credibility of education in private universities. He urged to implement the New Education Policy-2020 in private universities soon, implemented by the Prime Minister to groom the future of the youth, so that the youth can develop holistically. Ms. Uike said that the New Education Policy-2020 will be implemented in Chhattisgarh from the next session as well. This policy is going to bring about a massive change in the way of education and in the lives of the youth. In the new education policy, it has been said about the all round development of the students. So that he can be advanced academically and perform all round in life. In the new education policy, special attention has also been given to personality development and vocational education. In the program, the Chancellor of private universities, including the Chairman of the Private University Regulatory Commission, Dr. Shivvaran Shukla, the Vice Chancellors virtually participated.
The Governor said that due to the Kovid epidemic, the methods of study and teaching have changed a lot today and this has affected the quality of education as well as the mental development of the students. We have to pay special attention to this also. He said that a mentorship program should be run by the commission in coordination with all the private universities, in which experts should interact regularly with the students according to their aptitude and ability and motivate them. This will also help in career building of the students.
He urged the teachers and parents that because of online studies, students spend most of their time at home with mobiles and laptops. Therefore, parents should pay special attention that the students do not get addicted to it and they walk in the right path. Children should be encouraged from time to time and should also be motivated to read motivational books. Along with supporting the successful career of youth, it is the responsibility of both parents and teachers to make them morally responsible.
In the program, the Governor released the souvenir of the Commission ‘Vidya Nilayam’. Students of various private universities and their parents also participated in the virtual function.
