Raipur, 05 June 2022. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said that Godhan Nyay Yojana is opening new avenues for the prosperity of the entire state. This scheme has brought prosperity to our villages. We have to pursue this plan with more strength.
The Chief Minister expressed his views to this effect while transferring an amount of Rs.15 crore 37 lakh to the beneficiaries of Godhan Nyay Yojana in a program organized through video conferencing in Kanker today. While addressing the program, the Chief Minister said that we have always paid the amount of our every scheme which provides direct economic benefits to the farmers, tribals, laborers and the poor. Whether it is about Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, whether it is about Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiless Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana or whether it is about Godhan Nyay Yojana. Even during the Corona period, we did not let this cycle break.
He said that at this time I am touring the entire state continuously. Visit meeting program started from 04th of last month, on 05th May I was in Rajpur of Balrampur district, I did online distribution of installment of Godhan Nyay Yojana amount from there. After this, on May 21, on the martyrdom day of late Rajiv Gandhi, another installment was paid from Raipur. Today is June 05, today I am in Kankar, I am distributing the new installment of the scheme amount to you guys from here today.

In the program, the Chief Minister transferred an amount of Rs 15 crore 37 lakh online to the beneficiaries of Godhan Nyay Yojana. This includes the amount of Rs. 3 crore 36 lakh of cow dung purchased, and Rs. 12 crore 01 lakh as dividend for Gothan committees and self-help groups. Out of this, dividend amounting to Rs 7.23 crore was paid to Gauthan committees and Rs 4.78 crore to women groups. The Chief Minister inaugurated the program by offering prayers to Chhattisgarh Mahtari. Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Anila Bhendia, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Shishupal Sori, Antagarh MLA Mr. Anoop Nag, Advisor to Chief Minister Mr. Rajesh Tiwari were also present in Kanker. Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey, Agriculture Production Commissioner Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, Managing Director of Godan Nyay Mission Dr. Fakir Ayaz Bhai Tamboli, Director of Agriculture Department Shri Yashwant Kumar, Director Horticulture Shri Matheswaran V.,

There is good enthusiasm in Self Help Groups and Gothan Committees. With this scheme, along with increasing the income of our rural brothers, employment opportunities have also increased. Our mothers and sisters have got new financial strength. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel took information about the need and supply of chemical fertilizers in the state from Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey, who was virtually associated with the program. The Agriculture Minister said that only 44 percent chemical fertilizers have been supplied against the demand in the state. The Chief Minister said that in view of the short supply of chemical fertilizers, there is a need to promote vermi compost. He said that chemical fertilizers should be made available to the farmers as per their demand. If there is no arrangement, then vermi compost should be made available to the farmers so that the yield is not affected.
The Chief Minister said that last year during the period 16 to 31 May 2021, cow dung worth Rs 63 lakh was purchased. Whereas for the same period of May this year, Rs 3.36 crore is being paid in lieu of purchase of cow dung. In this way, there has been an increase of 425 percent in the amount of cow dung purchased during this period. In the last one year, there has been an increase of 26 percent in the number of beneficiary cattle rearers. As of 31 May 2021, where the number of benefitted cattle rearers was 01 lakh 68 thousand 531, as on 31 May 2022, this number has increased to 02 lakh 11 thousand 540.
While addressing the program, Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey said that Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel is fulfilling the promise made to pay the amount every 15 days to the beneficiaries of Godhan Nyay Yojana. During his visit to Surguja, on May 5, he paid the amount to the beneficiaries of Godhan Nyay Yojana from Rajpur and today from Kanker. At the beginning of the program, Agriculture Production Commissioner Dr. Kamalpreet Singh gave detailed information about the achievements of Godhan Nyay Yojana so far.
