Under Puneet Sagar campaign, NCC has made 35 ponds of the state free from plastic waste.
Under the campaign, NCC is making the sea shores, beaches, lakes, rivers and ponds across the country garbage free.

NCC (National Cadet Corps) is organizing a special Puneet Sagar campaign at Telibandha Pond in Raipur on 9th September at 9 am. 2500 cadets from various institutions of NCC Raipur Group will participate in it. In the program, people will be made aware, educated and sensitized about the Punit Sagar campaign of NCC. It has been organized by NCC to motivate the local people and the future generation to keep the ponds, rivers and reservoirs clean and to highlight its importance.
While expanding the Swachh Bharat Mission, NCC is running Puneet Sagar campaign across the country. Its objective is to free the sea shores and beaches, lakes, rivers and ponds from plastic and other wastes. The aim of this campaign is to make people aware and spread this message to save the environment from plastic waste. One and a half lakh cadets spread across the country are associated with this campaign of NCC.
Under the Puneet Sagar campaign, Raipur Group of NCC has freed 35 ponds of Chhattisgarh from plastic waste. During this period, 2400 kg plastic waste has been collected and sent for recycling. It is noteworthy that NCC Group Raipur has 16 units in different districts of the state. Its headquarters is at Kota in Raipur city. At present it has about 18 thousand cadets in 253 schools and 100 colleges of the state.
