Raipur: National level selection of 9 players of the state in Taekwondo game

Received 9 gold, 4 silver, 20 bone medals in the 19th State Level Taekwondo Competition

States in Taekwondo Sport

In the Taekwondo game, the players of Chhattisgarh are making the name of Chhattisgarh famous in the whole country including the state by showing their excellent talent. It is noteworthy that the 19th State Level Taekwondo Competition was organized from June 26 to June 29, 2023 at Jashpur’s Taekwondo Stadium. 12 players taking training in Taekwondo game of Jashpur district participated in the competition. These players, showing high performance of their talent, won 9 gold, 4 silver, Has made the district proud by getting 2 bronze medals. Similarly, the district has also got success in getting runner up in whole of Chhattisgarh in Taekwondo Pomse. Among these players, three players of Eklavya Sports Academy Jashpur Taekwondo have received gold medals. The winning players will leave for Bangalore on July 4 for the junior level competition and the selected players for the cadet category will leave for Lucknow on July 25, 2023. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has congratulated and congratulated the players and coaches who won medals by performing excellently in Taekwondo sports. 

The Collector of Jashpur district said that in the state level competition, 5 players of Swami Atmanand English Medium School have won medals, among them Rudra Pratap Singh won silver medal along with gold medal, Yuvraj Kumar won gold medal, Ms. Srishti Ekka won silver medal and Ayush Yadav and Ashwin Kumar have got bronze medals. Similarly, Prateek Bada of Jashpuranchal English Medium School won gold medal, Swami Atmanand Hindi Medium School and Eklavya Sports Academy Jashpur’s 3 players Ajay Chauhan got two gold medals, Arjun Ram got 1 gold and 1 silver medal and Karan Ram got 1 gold medal. Collector Jashpur said that regular free training is provided to these players of the district. Now the selected players will showcase their talent at the national level. The players will leave for Bangalore on 4th July 2023 for the junior level competition. Similarly, the players selected for the Cadet category will leave for Lucknow on July 25, 2023. He told that recently 18 players from Jashpur district were selected at the national level. Soon district and state level competition will be organized for senior and sub-junior category players, for which players of Jashpur district are preparing regularly by taking training.
