Raipur, 03 February 2021. Under the direction of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the work done in Chhattisgarh in Kovid epidemic is being appreciated at the national level. The National Commission for Women has lauded the work of the Chhattisgarh Women and Child Development Department for its outstanding work during the Corona period. National Women Commission has awarded Dr. Kiranmayi Nayak, Chairperson of Chhattisgarh State Women’s Commission in New Delhi for the commendable teamwork of field staff in Chhattisgarh. In Raipur today, Dr. Nayak handed over this certificate to the Minister of Women and Child Development, Mrs. Anila Bhendia.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel and Minister Mrs. Bhendia have congratulated the Anganwadi workers, assistants and all field staff on getting the certificate. Smt. Bhendia said that the Women and Child Development Department has also worked in action mode under lockdown under the guidance of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. In the event of Anganwadi closure, Anganwadi workers and Sahayika sisters went door-to-door to distribute drought rations and ready-to-eat and made people aware of corona infection. During this period, elementary education of children and guardians of children was also explained to them. Efforts were being made to eradicate malnutrition in the state, it was not allowed to stop even during the Corona period.
Smt. Nayak informed that Union Information and Broadcasting Minister, Shri Prakash Javadekar, in a function to honor the chairpersons of all the women commissions of all the states of the country organized by the National Commission for Women in New Delhi, to protect justice and their rights for women The work done is processed. Shri Javadekar said that the way Chhattisgarh is taking fast action to protect the honor of women, it is not being reflected in any other state. At the function, Chairperson of National Commission for Women, Smt. Rekha Sharma also called the Government of Chhattisgarh alert and sensitive in the matter of women.
Dr. Nayak said that Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has given a lot of power to the State Women’s Commission in Chhattisgarh. The Commission is working promptly in providing justice to women at a rapid pace with the cooperation of the police and administration on the directions of the Chief Minister. The state of Chhattisgarh has mobilized a large number of people to provide justice to women during the Kovid-lockdown. The Chhattisgarh Women’s Commission has so far heard 11 hundred cases in 44 Jansunwai in 5 months, in which about 400 cases have been resolved. In Chhattisgarh, in the public hearing of the Women’s Commission, the Collector and Superintendent of Police of all the districts get the support. The instructions of the Women’s Commission are strictly followed. The manner in which police-administration is working promptly in the redressal of complaints of women in Chhattisgarh is not happening anywhere in the country.
