So far more than 1959 hectares of Vananchal land has been treated
30-40 model is very beneficial in infertile and barren land – Forest Minister Mr. Akbar
Raipur, 25 August 2023
In Chhattisgarh, construction of 1 lakh 80 thousand structures of 30-40 models approved in Vananchal is in progress during the last 4 years under the annual action plan of CAMPA. Out of these, about 1 lakh 54 thousand structures completed so far, more than 1959 hectare land of Vananchal has been treated. Under this, about 2395 hectares of infertile and barren land of Vananchal will get the benefit of treatment by the construction of all 1 lakh 80 thousand structures of 30-40 models.
Under CAMPA’s Annual Action Plan 2019-20 in Narva Development Program, out of total 56 thousand 126 approved structures in 30-40 models, construction of all 56 thousand 126 structures has been completed so far. Similarly, under the Annual Action Plan 2020-21, construction of 49 thousand 891 structures has been completed so far, out of the total 57 thousand 341 structures approved in the 30-40 model. Apart from this, under CAMPA’s Annual Action Plan 2021-22, out of the total approved 53 thousand 463 structures in 30-40 models, construction of 38 thousand 562 structures has been completed so far. Similarly, under CAMPA’s Annual Action Plan 2022-23, construction of 9 thousand 906 structures has been completed so far out of total 12 thousand 698 structures approved in 30-40 models.
Keeping in view its usefulness in the Narva Development Plan, as per the intention of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, Forest Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar said that this structure is very useful for Vananchal. In view of this, he has given instructions to include the construction works of 30-40 models on a priority basis in the upland parts or sloping areas located in the forests of the state.
It is worth noting that about 30-40 models being made under the Narva Development Scheme, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Mr. V.K. Srinivasa Rao told that this model is very suitable in the areas of Vananchal where the soil depth is very less and in mud soil, light stony land, infertile land, forest of small shrubs and barren land.
After a few days of its construction, the land of those areas starts becoming fertile. In 30-40 model, rain water is filled in a 7 X 7 X 3 feet pit through small chokakar bunds and by making it in series, the moisture in the above site remains for an additional time. By working in this method, rain water can be stopped for a long time.
