State’s ITI will be upgraded at a cost of Rs 1188.36 crore
Youth will get good opportunities to develop their skills

An MoU was signed between the Technical Education and Skill Development Department and Tata Technologies on a project worth Rs 1188.36 crore for the modernization of 36 government ITIs in the state in the presence of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel in his office room in the assembly premises today.
Under the MoU, Tata Technologies will train youth in 6 new trades and 23 short term courses in 36 ITIs in the state. Tata Technologies will set up state-of-the-art technical workshops and arrange trainers in selected ITIs of the state. Apart from this, Tata and its associate company will cooperate in providing placements in big companies to the youth of the state. The MoU was signed by Mr. Avnish Sharan, Director, Skill Development, Technical Education and Employment Department and Mr. Pawan Bhageria, President, Tata Technologies Limited.
On this occasion, Technical Education and Employment Minister Mr. Umesh Patel, Advisor to Chief Minister Mr. Pradeep Sharma, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Mineral Development Corporation Mr. Girish Dewangan, Deputy Chairman of State Planning Commission Mr. Ajay Singh, Principal Secretary of Skill Development, Technical Education and Employment Department Dr. Alok Shukla, Secretary Mr. Topeshwar Verma were also present on the occasion.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that with the upgradation and modernization of ITIs, the youth of the state will get a good opportunity to develop their skills. He said that many innovations have been made by the state government to provide more and more employment opportunities, due to which the income of farmers, laborers and tribals living in forest areas has increased. In the last four and a half years, an amount of about one lakh 60 thousand crore rupees has been put in the pockets of the people through various schemes, due to which trade and industries have gained momentum and the economy of the state has been strengthened. The Chief Minister said that it is our endeavor to establish villages as centers of production and cities as centers of business. In Chhattisgarh, people from the cities are coming towards the villages due to agriculture becoming profitable.
Request for cooperation from Tata Technologies to modernize RIPA
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel told the officials of Tata Technologies that 300 Rural Industrial Parks have been set up in the state to provide opportunities to the youth who want to set up small industries in the village, where land, electricity, water, shed, training, Wi-Fi facility and banking linkage are being provided to start the business. The Chief Minister urged Tata Technologies officials to cooperate in further development of Ripa and urban industrial centers by equipping them with modern industries and new technology.
Tata Technologies officials appreciated the efforts of the state government in strengthening the rural economy of Chhattisgarh and creating employment opportunities here.
These ITIs will be upgraded
The ITIs which will be upgraded with the help of Tata Technologies Limited, Government ITIs. – Baikunthpur, Odgi Wadrafnagar, Mainpat, Bagicha, Lormi, Koni- Bilaspur, Korba, Janjgir, Akaltara, Hasaud, Raigad, Kharsia, Rajnandgaon, Dongargaon, Manpur, Chhuikhadan, Pandariya, Gunderdehi, Dallirajhara, Gurur, Durg, Patan, Dharsinwa, Hirapur, Arang, Abhanpur, Bhatapara, Sim Ga, Bagbahra, Pithora, Kanker, Antagarh, Charama, Nagarnar and Dantewada are included.
Training will be given in 6 new technical trades
Under the ITI Upgradation Project, the youth of the state will get the facility of training in the following 6 innovative technical trades of world class. This includes Artisan Using Advanced Tools, Industrial Robotics and Digital Manufacturing Technician, Manufacturing Process Control and Automation in one year trade. Similarly, in the two-year trade, Advance C.N.C. Machining, Basic Designer and Virtual Verifier (Mechanical), Mechanic Electric Vehicle trades are included.
State-of-the-art technical workshop will be established: 10 thousand youth will be benefited
State-of-the-art technical workshops will be set up in each ITI selected by Tata Technologies Limited and initially two trainers will be appointed in each ITI for training work. Tata Technologies Limited and its associate industries will provide support in the placement of trained youth. About 10 thousand youth will be benefited from the scheme every year.
It is noteworthy that in collaboration with Tata Technologies Limited, an MoU was signed between the State Planning Commission and Tata Technologies Limited on 01 October 2022 in the presence of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel to develop the state’s technical institutions as technological hubs and to upgrade them as agricultural research and innovation centers. As a continuation of this, today in collaboration with Tata Technologies Limited, the following 36 Government ITIs of the state have been established. MoU was signed for the upgradation of
