Raipur: More than 69 thousand villagers get employment through MNREGA during lockdown

Raipur, 3 May 2021. Lockdown has been imposed in districts including the capital Raipur to prevent the spread of corona epidemic infection. During this, keeping in mind that there is no problem of livelihood in rural areas, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has instructed the district collectors to provide employment under MNREGA by following the Corona Guide Line. According to the instructions, 69 thousand 521 villagers are getting employment through Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MNREGA) in Balodabazar-Bhatapara district. The CEO of the District Panchayat said that in the first week of May, a total of 69 thousand 521 workers are working in the district. Of these, 20 thousand 505 in the district panchayat Kasdol, 18 thousand 166 in Biligarh, 12 thousand 593 in Simga, 6 thousand 943 in Balodabazar, 5 thousand 926 in Bhatpara and 5 thousand 388 workers in the district panchayat Palari.
