47,973 samples tested on April 6th and 42,289 samples tested on April 7th
Raipur, 8 April 2021. In last one week i.e. from April 1st to April 7th, COVID-19 screening test of two lakh 73 thousand 033 samples has been done in the state. On the instructions of Health Minister Mr. T.S. Singhdev, maximum number of samples are being tested every day in the state. During the last week, 40 thousand 857 samples were tested on April 1, 37 thousand 075 samples on April 2, 40 thousand 875 samples on April 3, 26 thousand 911 samples on April 4, 40 thousand 053 samples on April 5, 47 thousand 973 on April 6 and 42 thousand 289 samples have been tested for COVID-19 on April 7.
In Chhattisgarh, RTPCR tests of the samples are being conducted in the virology labs of AIIMS Raipur and six other government medical colleges in Bilaspur, Jagdalpur, Raigarh, Rajnandgaon, Ambikapur and Raipur. More virology labs are being established in Mahasamund, Korba, Kanker and Koriya to increase the number of RTPCR tests being done in the state every day. These four new labs will soon become operational, expanding the facilities for RTPCR tests. COVID-19 screening tests are also being done in 31 True-nat labs set up in various districts. COVID-19 test facility with Rapid antigen kit is available in all the district hospitals, community health centers, urban primary health centers and almost all the primary health centers of the state.
