Raipur, 10 June 2021. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said that the minor forest produce which was once a means of exploitation, has become the strength of the forest dwellers today due to the schemes of the state government. Along with giving forest rights to the forest dwellers, the state government has also given rights to the villages on the resources of the forests. To take advantage of the Chief Minister’s Tree Plantation Protsahan Yojana, farmers as well as rural and Panch-sarpanches are showing enthusiasm to increase the income of their panchayat through this scheme. Chief Minister Baghel expressed his views to this effect while inaugurating the development works in Gariaband and Kabirdham districts and addressing the virtual program of Bhoomi Pujan at his residence office here today.
Chief Minister Shri Baghel has gifted 1270 works costing about Rs 582 crore to both the districts. He inaugurated 516 works costing Rs 357 crore 23 lakh for Gariaband district and 754 works costing Rs 224 crore 75 lakh in Kabirdham district and performed Bhoomi Pujan and discussed with the beneficiaries of various schemes in both the districts. took.
Addressing the program after discussion with the beneficiaries, the Chief Minister said that our villages are taking the same shape as the state government had planned to give shape to the villages of Chhattisgarh. Through the schemes of the state government, the income of farmers is increasing, water is being arranged for the fields, mothers and sisters and children are getting nutrition and people are getting employment. The vision of empowering women by making them financially self-reliant is also being realized through the Suraji Gaon Yojana.
The Chief Minister said that even during the Corona period when the whole country was facing economic crisis, our sisters in the villages of Chhattisgarh produced and got good income. The forest dwellers could hardly even meet the expenses of Noon-oil from the collection of forest produce, while middlemen and big traders used to earn lakhs by buying forest produce. The state government made arrangements to buy 52 types of forest produce on support price, earlier only 7 types of forest produce were purchased on support price. Along with the collection of forest produce, the work of processing was also given to the women self-help groups, due to which they are becoming self-reliant. In Chhattisgarh, the remuneration for collection of tendu leaves has been increased from Rs 2500 to Rs 4,000 per standard bag, the highest in the country. Farmers are getting input assistance for their crops through Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. This year the scheme has been expanded. In the Gauthans established under the Suraji Gaon Yojna, along with vermi compost, a large number of women have got employment in the Corona period through vegetable production and various economic activities.
Home Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu said on this occasion that maximum number of registrations should be made in the E-category for unemployed youth to get employment in the construction departments. There is a provision to give construction work up to Rs 20 lakh at the block level on manual tender to those who register in E-category. Along with this, a provision has been made to give 5 percent of the cost of the work as an advance to the e-category registrants to start the work.
Forest and Climate Change Minister Shri Mohammad Akbar said that under Hariyali Prasar Yojana, there is a provision to give Re 1 per sapling to the beneficiary planting trees, which the Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has approved to increase it to Rs 4 per plant. He said that the Chief Minister’s Tree Plantation Protsahan Yojana would prove to be a revolutionary scheme with a view to protect the environment and increase greenery.
Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey said that in three days, new development works worth Rs.1847 crore have been inaugurated in three days in Durg, Balod, Mahasamund, Balodabazar, Gariaband and Kabirdham districts. School Education Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam and Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Anila Bhediya also addressed the program. On this occasion, two advisors to the Chief Minister Mr. Pradeep Sharma and Mr. Ruchir Garg, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Subrata Sahu were also present at the Chief Minister’s residence. Rajnandgaon MP Mr. Santosh Pandey, Mahasamund MP Mr. Chunilal Sahu, MLAs Mrs. Mamta Chandrakar and Mr. Amitesh Shukla, including public representatives of panchayat and urban bodies also joined the program through video conferencing.
