Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade congratulated and wished all the girls on the occasion of National Girl Child Day on 24 January and wished them a bright future. In her congratulatory message, she said that National Girl Child Day is celebrated every year with the aim of making people aware of the basic facilities, respect and freedom of girls and to end discrimination against them. She said that the state government is committed to providing a favorable environment and new opportunities for girls. Priority work is being done for the rights, education, health and nutrition of girls in the state. Smt. Rajwade said that the family and society also need to stand firmly with the daughters. She told all the daughters to move forward and make their dreams come true, the support of the state government is always with them.
