Raipur 16 February 2021. On the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami, the Minister of Industry, Mr. Kavasi Lakhma, today inaugurated the bank by cutting the lace of the District Cooperative Central Bank in the development block of Chhindgarh in Sukma district. Villagers of 59 gram panchayats will be facilitated by opening of cooperative bank in block headquarters Chhindgarh. 5731 farmers registered under this block will be directly benefited through District Cooperative Bank. On this occasion, Minister Shri Lakhma said that for a long time there was a demand for a cooperative bank in the block headquarters by the residents of Chhindgarh. In Sukma district, most paddy is produced in Chhindgarh development block. For this, the farmers had to go to Sukma for deposit and withdrawal, due to which the villagers had a lot of trouble. The dependence on Sukma District Cooperative Bank for withdrawal of the amount of paddy sold to them will be over. He talked about opening a district cooperative bank in Tongpal in the coming years.
It is worth mentioning that till now 5 co-operative banks in Sukma district are functioning in Konta, Errabor, Phulbagadi, Gadiras and Sukma district headquarters. Now the name of Chhindgarh development block has also been added to it. Districts are definitely benefiting from the increasing number of cooperative banks. On this occasion, District Panchayat President, Mr. Harish Kavasi, Chairman, District Panchayat, Chhindgarh, Mrs. Deoli Bai Nag, Sukma Municipal President Mr. Jagannath Sahu, Collector Mr. Vineet Nandanwar, SP Mr. KL Dhruv and other public representatives and officials were present.
