Raipur 7 September 2021. In the meeting of the Mineral Development Fund Advisory Committee held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel here today, proposals of about Rs 267 crore related to the development of minerals were approved. These proposals are related to various projects of Mineral Resources Department and Chhattisgarh State Mineral Development Corporation.
Out of the amount received by the state government every year from mineral revenue, 5 percent amount is kept in the Mineral Development Fund, which is used for the development of minerals in the state and exploration of new mineral areas etc. The proposals approved in the meeting include proposals for development of Kerwa coal block, Iron Ore Deposit-4, exploration of new areas of bauxite, survey of minerals and upgrade of online mineral portal operated for mineral activities.
