Raipur: Mehsana special laborers arrived by train from different districts safely from Champa: Thermal scan, sanitize and health test, quarantined buses left for quarantine

Workers expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister

Raipur, 26 May 2020. On the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, the workers and others of Chhattisgarh stranded in other states of the country are being continuously brought back by special trains. In the same sequence, 428 laborers landed at Champa Junction railway station in Janjgir-Champa district from Gujarat’s Mehsana Shramik Special train. In Mehsana (Gujarat) special workers train, 421 laborers of Janjgir-Champa district, 3 from Raigad, one from Korba and 3 laborers from Bihar arrived at Champa at 11 pm on Monday night.
On reaching the Champa platform of the train, the workers were welcomed by all the departmental officers and employees present in the district administration clapping. The platform was sanitized before the train arrived at Champa station. As soon as the workers landed on the platform, with special attention to social distancing, the workers and their goods were sprayed with sprays etc. as well as the workers were given guidance on conducting health tests. After this, in the stalls of the Health Department, thermal scans of each worker were taken, temperature, general health check and samples of suspected workers of Kovid-19 were taken. Food packets were made available to the workers in collaboration with Champa Seva Sansthan and other NGOs. After this, workers under the supervision and supervision of Champa SDM were seated in various buses for quarantine and followed social distancing to quarantine centers. On the instructions of the Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, the district administration is constantly monitoring the workers and other passengers entering the district and necessary guidelines are being given.
