The meeting of the committee constituted regarding the Chess Olympiad Torch Relay will now be held on July 9 in the meeting hall of the local Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Hockey Stadium. The meeting will be presided over by the Secretary, Sports and Youth Welfare Department. The meeting will start at 3 pm.
It is noteworthy that on the occasion of the 75th year of the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, the 44th Chess Olympiad Torch Relay, being organized for the first time in the country, is being organized from 19th June to 28th July in different states of the country. Chess Olympiad will start from 28th July in Chennai. The Chess Olympiad Torch Relay will reach Swami Vivekananda Airport Raipur via Konark (Odisha) on July 16.
