Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today interacted with the residents of the area in a meet-meet program organized at village Nandghat of Nawagarh assembly in Bemetara district. On this occasion, he also made important announcements on the demand of the residents. He started the meet-and-greet program with Chhattisgarh Mahtari’s worship and state song. Parliamentary Secretary and MLA from Nawagarh Vidhan Sabha constituency Shri Gurdayal Singh Banjare was also present on the occasion.
Addressing the program, the Chief Minister said that he has come to know whether people are getting the benefits of all the schemes that we are preparing or not, whether people are happy with the schemes or not. As soon as the government was formed, after taking the oath, we went directly to the ministry and first of all decided to waive off the loans of the farmers. Lok Sabha MP Mr. Rahul Gandhi gave us 10 days time for loan waiver of farmers, Within 10 hours, for the welfare of the farmers of the state, we waived the loan of about Rs 9 thousand crore of 19 lakh farmers. Despite the constraints imposed by the Center on purchasing paddy at the support price, we are buying paddy from farmers at the highest price through support price and Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. Under the scheme, three installments have been transferred to the farmers’ account and the fourth installment will be deposited in the account on March 31. The Chief Minister said that maximum support price is being given for sugarcane in the state. Kodo-Kutki is also being procured in the state at the support price, which is not found anywhere in the country. This is the government of farmers, villages, poor and laborers.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel inaugurated and performed Bhumi Pujan of various new works, giving a gift of Rs 57 crore 29 lakh 49 thousand for the proper development of Nawagarh assembly constituency. In which inauguration of 46 different new works approved at a cost of Rs 35 crore 62 lakh 75 thousand is included. Similarly, Bhumi Pujan was done for 14 works worth Rs 21 crore 66 lakh 74 thousand.

Talking to the Chief Minister, farmer Mr. Harish Mishra told that he is getting the benefit of the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. He has 50 acres of land and his loan of Rs 12 lakh 50 thousand has been forgiven under the loan waiver scheme. Farmer Mr. Bhagwat Nirmalkar told that he has 15 acres of land. Under the loan waiver, a loan of Rs one lakh 12 thousand has been waived off. They got their children married with the money they got by selling paddy.

Talking to the Chief Minister in English, Class 11 student of Swami Atmanand English Medium School, Navagarh, Tanu Singh said that she is getting all the facilities in the school like private schools. Good education, library, sports facilities are available. Earlier she used to study in a private school, where a lot of money was spent.

Mr. Lallu Raut thanked the Chief Minister for the Godhan Nyaya Yojana and sang a song in beautiful Chhattisgarhi dialect based on the schemes of the state government. Appreciating him, the Chief Minister said that a life philosophy was seen in the songs of Shri Lallu Raut.

Smt. Nirmala Sahu village Mohtra told that her group is doing farming on 2 acres by taking advantage of Bari Yojana. He has cultivated turmeric in Bari and by selling turmeric he has earned about 40 thousand rupees. Praising the Godhan Nyaya Yojana, Mrs. Sahu said that she has earned an income of about Rs. 3 lakh 24 thousand 7 hundred by selling vermi compost.  

Mr. Umesh Kumar, a member of Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club, told the Chief Minister that there are 35 members in his club and all the members are working to take the government’s schemes door-to-door. Along with this, traditional games and various activities are also being organized by the club members. He described Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club as a good scheme for the development of youth.

Mr. Janakram Sen, a beneficiary of the Rajiv Gandhi Rural Landless Labor Justice Scheme, told that he is getting the benefits of the scheme. So far two thousand rupees have come in his account in 3 installments. Thanking the Chief Minister for this scheme, he said that it is a very good scheme, due to which we are celebrating all our festivals with great pomp due to getting the installments at the right time.

Mrs. Anjala Tiwari told that she bought sarees and jewelry by selling vermicompost. Thanking the Chief Minister, he said that women are becoming financially empowered with your schemes. Mr. Khubiram told that he has sold cow dung worth Rs. 40 thousand by taking advantage of Godhan Nyaya Yojana. Out of this, he bought a mobile for Rs 10,000.
