Raipur: Media worker’s house stolen: Had gone out for morning walk, suspicion on drug addicts nearby

A theft took place at the house of a media worker in Kachna area of Raipur. At the time of this theft the landlord had gone for a morning walk. The rest of the family were sleeping in another room. The thief took advantage of this and stole comfortably while drinking a cold drink. Khamhardih police has registered an FIR in this case. The victim Pradeep Kumar Choubey told the police that he works in a private media organization. Around 4 o’clock on Wednesday morning, he locked the door and went out for his morning walk. Then someone entered the house from behind. Since it was latched, he did not have to break any lock. Then the thief ran away with goods worth Rs 30,000 including the laptop kept in the house, Rs 5,500 in cash and some silver coins.

Wife and children were sleeping in another room

According to the information, during this incident, the victim’s wife and children were sleeping in another room of the house. The thief did not allow him to enter the room. He recently stole cash from a purse kept on top of the refrigerator and a laptop from the dining table. Apart from that, Bhagwan also took away some silver coins and anklets lying in the room. He drank the cold drink kept in the fridge and ran away making mess behind it.

During this incident, the thief drank the cold drink kept in the fridge and while running away, he also created mess at the back side of the house. It is also being told that the thief had an idea that CCTV cameras were installed at the front, due to which he used the back route. In this case, the police also suspect drug addicts and suspects present nearby. Police is interrogating this matter and further investigation is going on.
