Raipur: Mass cleanliness campaign will run in cities on October 1.

Chief Minister appeals to common citizens to donate labor,

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, on the occasion of Swachhata Shramdan Abhiyan on 01 October, has appealed to all the citizens to spare their time and cooperate in this campaign of Shramdan and on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, they should make efforts to contribute in making every street and locality of the state a Sevagram. Have called for. 

    On October 1, 2023, at 10 am, all 169 cities of Chhattisgarh state have called for one hour of Shramdaan for cleanliness. It has been welcomed by all the citizens and they are excited to take ownership for urban cleanliness. Chhattisgarh state has continuously received the award for the cleanest state, due to which the Chhattisgarh model of cleanliness is becoming successful. An appeal has been made to all the citizens in the urban bodies on October 1 at 10 am to collectively donate their labor for cleanliness, which will fulfill Bapu’s dream on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti. 

    Every urban body has selected sites in every ward for the cleanliness campaign. These sites are available on Swachhata Hi Seva-Citizen Portal ( ¼ https://swachhatahiseva.com ½ ). NGOs, RWAs, private and religious organizations who want to participate in the cleanliness program can apply online on this portal. 

    At the conclusion of the activities, organizations must provide details of the number of participants and key events of the event. People can upload their photos on the portal and  also share them on social media with hashtags like  #SwachhBharat, #SwachhataHiSeva #JoshilaChhattisgarh #ChhattisgarhModel, @dibZrvÅ and  @SwachhBharatGov, @swachhbharat .

    To ensure participation of citizens in this programme, Didis collecting garbage from door to door are giving the invitation ‘Each one has to come for an hour on the 1st’. Citizens have been appealed to bring their own sanitation equipment like broom, bucket, shovel etc. 

    2 programs are being organized in each ward of Raipur city and one program in each ward in other cities. Under the innovative initiative in the state, a total of 3325 programs are being organized in 3255 wards of the state, including 138 urban forests (Krishna Kunj), more than 500 crematoriums and cemeteries of the state, all the big temple complexes etc. Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar Dahria has appealed to all citizens to cooperate in this campaign.
