Raipur, July 14, 2021. First meeting of the state level task force, constituted for promotion of art, culture, archeology and tourism in Chhattisgarh, was held today under the chairmanship of Advisor to Chief Minister and Task Force Chairman Mr. Vinod Verma at Yojna Bhawan in Raipur. In the meeting, members of the task force presented their views in detail on the issues related to the development of Chhattisgarhi folk arts and artists’ program, archaeology, promotion of museums, tourism, and Gadhkalewa for traditional cuisine of Chhattisgarh. It was decided in the meeting that separate working groups would be constituted for the promotion and development of culture, art, literature, tourism and archaeology.
In the meeting of the task force held today, Mr. Vinod Verma said that the task force would prepare a report based on the suggestions received from the experts in the subject of art, culture, archeology and tourism and present it to the government. Meanwhile, Member of the Task Force and Chairman of India Associate of Tour Operators, New Delhi, Mr. Subhash Goyal gave important suggestions regarding tourism, culture and archeology in Chhattisgarh through video conferencing. Similarly, Dr. Kalyan Chakraborty, former President of Lalit Kala Akademi Delhi also presented his suggestions regarding fine arts and artists. In the meeting, Dr. Bitasa Das, Culture Expert of the Indian Institute of Science gave detailed information about the programs of folk artists in different states of the country and various programs being conducted for the development of art culture. They gave their valuable suggestions in the meeting.
In the meeting, Chairman of Task Force Mr. Vinod Verma informed that Chhattisgarh Culture Council will work according to the programs chalked out by the operators of Sahitya, Lalit Kala and Adivasi Lok Kala Akademi. In the meeting, Mr. Verma laid special emphasis on providing a proper platform for the programs of the artists of Chhattisgarh. In the meeting, the officials of the Department of Culture and Tourism presented detailed information regarding the departmental programs and schemes. In the meeting, Vice Chancellor Indira Music and Arts University and Task Force member Mrs. Mokshada (Mamata) Chandrakar, Archaeologist Mr. Arun Sharma, Director of Culture Department Mr. Vivek Acharya and officials of Archaeology, Culture Tourism and State Planning Commission were present.
