People wandering from the society should return to the mainstream – Governor
appeals to the government to take advantage of government schemes
Raipur, 21 February 2021. Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uike today participated in the annual Sesa Pandum program of the tribal Budhalpane Poddaguma Gondwana Development Committee at village Temrupani under Antagarh development block in Kanker district. He called in the program that some companions of our society have gone astray, they should return to the mainstream of the society. Take advantage of government schemes and become self-sufficient. He said that the heads of our tribal society should make the society aware, organize and connect them with education, health and employment oriented schemes, as well as be aware of the elements that divide the society. The Governor arrived in Temrupani and offered prayers and participated in the religious Jatra program. He also announced financial assistance of two lakh rupees to the tribal Budhalpane Poddaguma Gondwana Development Committee.
Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uike said that tribal society always lives with nature and never remains unhappy. We pray to the god Podd-Guma (Sun God) to give us happiness and prosperity. He said that the tribal always lives with respect, he does not indulge in any wrongdoings nor extends his hands to anyone to ask for alms. Life is respected in life. The governor said that no person is smaller or bigger than any caste religion, but is greater than his deeds. Ms. Uike said that the elders of the tribal society, that is, Mahadev, are the favorites of all of us, who protect the whole world. Every citizen of the country is free to follow their religion, sect, deity and their great men and follow their ideals, but when it comes to the interests of the country, everyone should work in unison.
The Governor said that the culture of tribal society is very great. There is immense reverence for nature in tribal society and in this reverence there is a sense of protection of nature. There is a sense of community and love harmony in our tribal culture. On this festival, the tribal society asks for permission for food storage and protection from the Sun God. It is such a great tradition that they are being asked to use their product from nature. This proves how much faith there is in the tribal society towards nature. Such a tradition is rarely seen anywhere else. The Governor said that since ancient times till today, the forest is safe in some form or the other, due to this spirit of tribal society. Today, due to modernization in the whole world, the distance between each other is increasing, families are getting separated,
The governor greeted Manjhi, Pen priest, all seven brothers of Korra, Korram, Kachlam, Jurri, Jatti, Kato, Veddo, Uyaka in the program. Organizers honored the Governor by presenting him with a logo. MLA Mr. Anup Nag, Member of State Scheduled Tribes Commission Mr. Nitin Potai, Former MLA Mr. Bhojraj Nag, Former MLA Mr. Vikram Usendi, Mr. Vishram Singh Gavade, Mrs. Jai Laxmi Thakur, Mrs. Kamala Netam, Mr. Shyamlal Uike, Mr. Meturam Uike , Mr. Sharad Korram, Mr. Chandan Singh Uike, Mr. Surjuram Uike, Mr. Harisingh Uike, Mrs. Sushila Uike, Mr. Manesh Ram Uike, Mr. Dashrath Uike, Manjhi, Sirha and people of the society were present in large numbers.
Governor praised journalists and security forces
Governor Ms. Uike thanked the journalist brothers and said that they have an important role in the society, working in Bastar and other remote areas, bring out public issues and other news of the society. During this, they face many dangers and challenges and yet they continue to be devoted to their work. I get important information from their news, I also take cognizance of that. The Governor also praised the security forces and said that our security forces personnel are deployed everywhere in every situation and provide security to the common people. Have human sympathy towards them and work in coordination with them. In the program, Bastar Division Commissioner Mr. GR Churendra, IG Sundar Raj P., DIG Vinit Khanna, Collector Chandan Kumar, Superintendent of Police MR. Other senior officers of the district including Ahire were present.
