Farming increased due to giving fair price for paddy
Raipur, 11 November 2020. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today appealed to the villagers to empower and donate the Gauthan for the development of villages in Patan area of Durg district. He said that due to the fair price of paddy, the trend of farmers has moved towards farming.
Baghel said that empowerment of Gouthan is necessary to promote the development of villages. With the creation of Gothan, there was a system of keeping animals here. People have started saving more livestock through the Godhan Nyaya Yojana. This is also leading to crop protection. Some farmers said that they had taken their own crop a long time ago. This time they have planted this crop again. This suggests that crop protection from cattle was extremely important. Its path opened up with Gauthan and Godhan Nyaya Yojana. Also, this has paved the way for organic farming. He said that the last time farmers had given a free hand for Gowthan. This is the best work for the promotion of Gomata. This time too, do not burn crop residue in the fields, but don it.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that Gauthan will be established as a rural livelihood center. Now women of self-help group have designed products in view of Deepawali. They are selling well. They are being asked to prepare things according to local needs. With their skill, quality and hard work, they will make their products in the market place.
The Chief Minister said that farmers of paddy production will get special help by setting up ethanol plant, which will further increase the prosperity of paddy growing farmers. He said that development of villages is the highest priority of the government. To ensure that farmers do not face any problem in farming, the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyaya Yojana installment was given at a time when the farmers needed the maximum amount for farming.
