Mr. Baghel performed Bhumi Pujan of the Central Library building at a cost of Rs. 6 crores.

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel gifted 223 development works worth Rs.655 crore to the district during his stay at Mahasamund on the occasion of the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna late Mr. Rajiv Gandhi. These include inauguration of 132 works costing Rs 71.08 crore and foundation stone laying ceremony of 91 works costing Rs 583 crore 92 lakh. In this programme, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel also laid the foundation stone for the construction work of the building of Mahasamund Medical College to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 322 crore 85 lakh.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel established 33/11 KV power sub-station at village Ghonch at a cost of Rs. 2.38 crore and Bhulka (Pathiyapal) at a cost of Rs. 1.72 crore, physiotherapy building constructed at a cost of Rs. Inaugurated the blood bank built at a cost of Rs 1 lakh and the Hummer Lab established at a cost of Rs 12 lakh.
Under the Public Health Engineering Department, the work of drinking water scheme completed in 18 villages at a cost of Rs 13 crore 64 lakh, 65 works of road construction completed at a cost of Rs 27 crore 65 lakh under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. He also inaugurated the work of construction of 4 high level bridges completed at a cost of Rs 11 crore 57 lakh under the Public Works Department bridge construction. Of these, high level bridge constructed at a cost of Rs 3.06 crore over Carmel Nala on Sai-Saraipali approach road, bridge constructed on Naini Nala on Banpachari-Barekel-Dhangaon road at a cost of Rs 2.90 crore, Gahankhar-Chhindpali at a cost of Rs 3.24 crore. Construction of bridge in Limgaon road and high level bridge over Murmuri Nala on Bhuthiadih-Kallududa road at a cost of Rs 2.37 crore.
Similarly, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel inaugurated three works of Chhattisgarh Housing Board costing Rs 4.09 crore, 6 works of Health and Family Welfare Department costing Rs 2.05 crore, 17 works of Panchayat and Rural Development Department costing Rs 1.71 crore, He also inaugurated 16 works of Forest Department costing Rs 3.73 crore, two works of Electricity Department costing Rs 4.09 crore and one work of Ayush Department costing Rs 2.55 crore. Narva development works including high tech barrier constructed at Narra, Banjari, Surangi Nala Bansula were also inaugurated in the programme.
Bhumi Pujan done for works worth Rs 118.42 crore in urban bodies
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel performed Bhumi Pujan of various works costing Rs 118.42 crore to be started in various urban bodies of the district. These works include works worth Rs 40.08 crore in Nagar Palika Saraipali, Rs 30.80 crore in Nagar Panchayat Basna, Rs 27.62 crore in Nagar Panchayat Pithora. Apart from these, a new bus stand to be built at a cost of Rs 6.40 crore in village Khaira, a football ground in Mahasamund at a cost of Rs 3.43 crore, a central library building at a cost of Rs 6 crore in Mahasamund, Rs 2.37 crore in village Ganjar, in village Sher 2.43 crore, Rs. 2.29 crore in village Pachri, Rs. 2.59 crore in village Kanchanpur and Rs. 2.20 crore in village Kudaribahara. Establishment of power transformer 33/11 KV sub-station, 17. At a cost of Rs 30 crore, Bhumi Pujan and foundation stone was laid for the canals and renovation of Devgaon reservoir and canal lining work and improvement of pucca works. Apart from this, 20 works of Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Yojana costing Rs 13.52 crore, sewerage treatment plant at Mahasamund Emlibhata costing Rs 1.17 crore were also bhoomipujan done by the hands of the Chief Minister.
