Chief Minister will inaugurate Chhattisgarhia Olympics
For the first time Chhattisgarhi Games organized across the state
From village to city, from youth to old, there will be participants
The launch ceremony will be held in the indoor stadium of the capital

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel will inaugurate Chhattisgarhia Olympics on October 6 at 12 noon at Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium, Budhapara. The program will be presided over by the Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Umesh Patel. 14 types of traditional sports have been included in Chhattisgarhiya Olympics. This competition of traditional games will be held at 6 levels from village to state level.
On the initiative of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the Chhattisgarhia Olympics, which was started to give importance to the traditional sports of Chhattisgarh and to bring awareness about sports among the people, will now move the sports of rural areas from villages to cities. Chhattisgarhia Olympics will start from Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club level. After this, sports competitions will be organized at the zone level, then development block, urban cluster level, district, division and lastly the state level. From young to old can participate in this competition. This competition will start from 6th October till 6th January 2023. There will be separate competitions for men and women as well as competitions at team and singles level. Traditional sports competitions in Chhattisgarhia Olympics will be held in two categories. In this, party category Gilli Danda, Pittool, Sankhali, Langdi race, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Sports disciplines such as tug of war and banti (kancha) have been included. At the same time, the sports mode of single category includes Billas, Fugdi, Gedi race, Bhanwara, 100 meter run and Long jump.
