Nomination for Raipur Lok Sabha elections has started. On the first day, 16 candidates took the nomination forms. The nomination period will run from April 12 to April 19. After this, for the candidates who want to withdraw their names, time has been fixed till 3 pm on April 22.

- Dinesh Dhruv (Independent)
- Rajesh Dhruv (Independent)
On the first day of nomination, except Tilak Sonkar and Dinesh Dhruv, all the other 14 candidates have also deposited the security deposit.

According to the notification, candidates contesting the Lok Sabha elections will have to submit their nominations to the Returning Officer or Assistant Returning Officer by April 19. Candidates can file nomination in Collectorate’s Room No. 2 (Collector’s Court) from 11 am to 3 pm. Nomination will not be taken on government holidays.
Nomination format will also be available
Candidates can submit nomination for election themselves or through one of their proposers. Along with this, the format of nomination letter can be taken from room number 2 of the Collector’s office only.
Withdrawal of nominations till 22nd April
According to the notification issued from the Returning Officer’s office, the scrutiny of nomination papers received till April 19 will be done on April 20. During this period, candidates can withdraw their names on written notice till 3 pm on April 22. The final list of candidates contesting the Lok Sabha elections will also be released on the same day.
Voting from 7 am to 6 pm
Voting for Raipur Lok Sabha elections will be held on May 7 in all 9 assembly constituencies. Voting will be held from 7 am to 6 pm on Tuesday, May 7 at the polling centers set up here. On the very first day of nomination, 16 candidates have taken forms but in Raipur the contest is mainly between Congress and BJP.
