Instructions to provide loans to farmers for lac rearing, fisheries, animal husbandry and dairy also

Against the target of giving short term loan of Rs 5800 crore to the farmers of the state in the Kharif season 2022, so far 8 lakh 19 thousand 534 farmers have been disbursed a loan of Rs 3243 crore 83 lakh 50 thousand. The number and amount of farmers who have taken loans is almost double the number of farmers and loans disbursed during the same period in the last Kharif season. In Kharif season 2021 till June 24, 4 lakh 66 thousand farmers of the state had taken loan of Rs.1760 crore 63 lakh.
Minister Dr. Tekam also thoroughly reviewed the status of storage and distribution of chemical fertilizers and seeds of Kharif crops in the meeting. He said that the quality and distribution status of fertilizers and seeds should be continuously monitored. He also directed the officers to keep a close watch on the distribution system of fertilizers and take strict action against those who disturb it. Minister Dr. Tekam said that the departmental officers should make better arrangements for distribution of fertilizers and seeds in the state by coordinating with the officers of Agriculture Department and fertilizer inspectors so that farmers do not face any problem.
