Raipur, 12 October 2020. The Department of Agriculture has taken strict action against the shopkeepers for violating the Fertilizer Control Order 1985. Similarly, in violation of the Insecticide Act 1968 and Rule 1971, 46 pesticide establishments have been issued show cause notices and sought their response.
According to the information, Deputy Director of Agriculture Department of District Mahasamund has revoked the fertilizer license of Manohar Grocery Stores and Sai Traders of Jhalap for violating Fertilizer Control Order 1685. Other establishments of the erstwhile district’s Sri Hari Krishi Kendra of Bagbahara, Shivam Traders of Pithora, Rajesh Agarwal of Saraipali, Om Fertilizer, Agarwal Traders were suspended for 21 days for violating the Fertilizer Control Order 1985. Due to violation of the Insecticides Act 1968 and Rules 1971, 09 of Mahasamund Development Block, 11 of Bagbahara, 09 of Pithora, 08 of Basna and 09 of Saraipali have been issued show cause notice to 46 pesticide establishments and sought their reply. He informed that in case of non-response by him, action will be taken for suspension of license of the firm concerned.
