Raipur: Laxmi Devi no longer has to wander for water

Raipur, 22 June 2021.  Lakshmi Devi no longer has to wander for water, she gets enough water from the tap in the house itself. Laxmi Devi is a resident of village Bhatgaon in Durg district. Under the Jal-Jeevan Mission, free tap connection has also been given in his house. Laxmi Devi gave this information while discussing with Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel through video conferencing during the Bhoomi Pujan program of various schemes of Jal Jeevan Mission and thanked the Chief Minister for getting the tap connection.

Lalita Nishad of Bhatgaon told the Chief Minister that due to the installation of tap in the house, her problem regarding water has been solved. There is a big problem for water in summer. Now water comes twice a day at 7 in the morning and at 5 in the evening for one hour each. He also informed that 450 houses of the village have got tap connections. We are very happy. The Chief Minister also saw the tap connection of Shri Mukesh Yadav’s house in village Tarra of Patan block, his family members said that this tap connection has proved to be a boon for us. The problem of water is completely gone now. Nisha Yadav told that it felt very good to get rid of the water problem. Now water comes at 7.30 in the morning and at 5 in the evening. Jam and papaya are planted in the house, trees also pour water in the plants. He told that the tank has been made by boring near Chandi temple. It also has a 5 horse power motor.
