Raipur: Labor conference will be organized in the capital on International Labor Day

There will be a conference of Anganwadi workers and Mitanins in Raipur on May 2 and Village Kotwar, Patel and Home Guards on May 3

Chief Secretary took a review meeting regarding the preparations, entrusted the responsibilities to the officers

On the occasion of International Labor Day, the government decided to organize a labor convention in the capital Raipur in view of the special role played by laborers in speeding up the development of the state. Workers from all over the state will participate in the convention organized at the local Science College ground. The beneficiaries who have benefited from the schemes being run by the Labor Department for labor welfare will also be honored through the conference.
Along with this, a conference of Anganwadi workers and Mitanins will be organized on May 02 at the Science College ground of the capital Raipur and on May 3, a conference of village Kotwar, Patel and Home Guards will be organized. In connection with the preparations for these events, Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain took a meeting of officials of various departments through video conferencing from Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan here today and assigned the responsibility to the officials while deciding the outline of the event.   
The Chief Secretary said that the Labor Department will be responsible for the Labor Conference, the Women and Child Development Department and the Health Department will be responsible for the Anganwadi Workers and Mitanin Conference, and the Revenue and Home Department will be responsible for the Village Kotwar, Patel and Home Guards Conference. Labor Secretary Mr. Amrit Khalkho will coordinate all the programs.
       In the meeting, the Chief Secretary said that always the laborers of our state work hard and leave for work in the morning after eating sacks. Sacks and stale are the traditional food items of Chhattisgarh. It is a food item associated with our hard working culture and prepares for the hard work in summer. According to the intention of the Chief Minister, on Labor Day, according to this popular food tradition, we should organize such programs in the districts, in which the citizens express their gratitude towards the labor by tasting the sacks.  
In today’s meeting, Labor Department Secretary Mr. Amrit Khalkho, Revenue Department Secretary Mr. NN Ekka, Home Secretary Mr. Arun Dev Gautam, Public Relations Director Mr. Saumil Ranjan Choubey, Raipur Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, Municipal Corporation Raipur Commissioner Mr. Mayank Chaturvedi and Officers from various departments participated.
