Raipur: ‘Kalwadi’ will be set up for the newbies across the state

Raipur. 11 February 2022. In Chhattisgarh, many initiatives are being taken by the state government to improve the education and education level of the youngsters. The state government has started Swami Atmanand Excellent English Medium School to provide better opportunities to the children of the economically weaker sections also. Now under the new education policy, the state government has taken the initiative to establish a kindergarten. In these kindergarten centers, emphasis will be given on the learning of the young children through play based activities. It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel had announced the establishment of more than six thousand kindergarten centers across the state in the first phase recently on the occasion of Republic Day.     

It is worth mentioning that in Chhattisgarh, under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, the state government has taken many steps for the secure future of the new generation, from school education to higher education and from employment to developing culture. The sensitive Chief Minister of the state established Swami Atmanand Excellent English Medium Schools to provide better opportunities to the children of economically weaker sections in future. At present 171 Swami Atmanand excellent English medium schools are being run in the state, in which more than 20 thousand children are being educated in English medium. Similarly, such Hindi schools will also be established in each of the districts. Whereas under early childhood care, play school ‘ Kalwadi ‘ for children of age to 6 years at such places.Where Anganwadi and Primary School are in the same courtyard. In the first phase, more than 6 thousand such kindergartens will be started. According to the information received from the School Education Department, the number of such centers is 6536, where primary schools are located in Anganwadi only. According to the proposal, the operation of Balwadi (Balvatika) will be started from the academic session 2022-23 itself.

Prepared Activity Based Handbook –

According to the information received from the department, the estimated number of children in the age group of 5 to 6 years for admission in kindergarten is one lakh 15 thousand. SCERT has also prepared Balvatika Activity Book for these children.
