Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma today reached the Counter Terrorism and Jungle Warfare College in Kanker and inquired about the training being given to the soldiers there. He said that this college is very effective in strengthening the security system of the country and the state. Our soldiers are being trained here to deal with various situations on every front. On this occasion, Shri Sharma met the soldiers undergoing training and encouraged them.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sharma was informed about the training programs and all aspects of training given to the trainees of police and defense and guerrilla warfare techniques through a power point presentation by DIG in charge of Jungle Warfare College, Shri S. L. Baghel. Shri Sharma also observed the short film shown here regarding defense related exercises in inaccessible hills, dense forests and inaccessible areas. After this, the Deputy Chief Minister went to the museum of the college and became aware of the major Maoist incidents in the state of Chhattisgarh.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sharma visited all the training sites of the Jungle Warfare College and observed the demo practice of the trainees of various training programs. He appreciated the training being given to the soldiers in the Jungle Warfare College. On this occasion, IG Bastar Division Mr. Sundarraj P., Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. I.K. Elesela, Additional Superintendent of Police Mrs. Manisha Thakur and other officers of the police department were present.
