Raipur: Jal Jeevan Mission: More than 31.37 lakh families in the state got domestic tap connections.

Mahasamund district is at the forefront in providing domestic tap connections

The work of providing free domestic tap connections is being done rapidly in the rural areas of the state. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission in the state, under this campaign being run for supply of pure drinking water to the houses, currently 31 lakh 37 thousand 479 domestic tap connections have been given against 49 lakh 93 thousand 795 families being given domestic tap connections. Along with this, arrangements have been made to supply pure drinking water through tap taps in 39 thousand 113 schools, 37 thousand 501 Anganwadi centers and 15 thousand 625 Gram Panchayat buildings and community sub-health centers of the state. Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh is at the forefront in providing domestic tap connections to 01 lakh 56 thousand 871 rural families. Similarly, Janjgir-Champa is at second and third place respectively in providing domestic tap connections to 01 lakh 53 thousand 669 families and 01 lakh 52 thousand 852 families in Raipur district.

Under this Jal Jeevan Mission, which is being run under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel and the guidance of Public Health Engineering Minister Guru Rudrakumar, pure drinking water is being provided at the rate of 55 liters per person per day in the state, for this an action plan is being prepared in all the districts. Preparations are being made and work is being done rapidly. Under this mission, apart from domestic tap connections, running water is also being provided in schools, sub-health centers and Anganwadi centres. Along with this, drinking water is also being supplied to the Gauthans built under the state government’s ambitious scheme Narva, Garva, Ghurva, Bari. It is noteworthy that Secretary Public Health Engineering Dr. S. Bharathidasan and Mission Director Mr. Alok Katiyar are continuously monitoring the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission including Single Village Scheme and Multi Village Scheme and other drinking water schemes in the state at the ground level.

Under Jal Jeevan Mission, till now 01 lakh 41 thousand 381 households in Raigarh district, 01 lakh 36 thousand 819 in Dhamtari district, 01 lakh 36 thousand 200 in Bilaspur, 01 lakh 36 thousand 475 in Balodabazar-Bhatapara, 01 lakh 35 thousand 650 households in Kawardha. Tap connections are provided. Similarly, 01 lakh 29 thousand 662 tap connections have been given in Mungeli, 01 lakh 24 thousand 051 in Balod, 01 lakh 23 thousand 623 in Bemetara district and 01 lakh 22 thousand 539 in Durg district. Similarly, 01 lakh 21 thousand 434 in Rajnandgaon district, 01 lakh 14 thousand 032 in Sakti, 01 lakh 331 in Korba, 01 lakh 206 in Balrampur, 99 thousand 609 in Jashpur, 99 thousand 557 in Gariaband, 99 thousand 155 in Bastar, Surguja district. 97 thousand 146 domestic tap connections have been provided for pure drinking water. 90 thousand 988 in Surajpur, 85 thousand 844 in Kondagaon, 81 thousand 324 in Kanker, 78 thousand 980 in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, 52 thousand 886 in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, 48 thousand 657 in Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur,
