Raipur: Jal Jeevan Mission: More than 29.36 lakh families got domestic tap connections in the state

Janjgir-Champa district is at the forefront of giving domestic tap connections

The work of providing free domestic tap connections in the rural areas of the state is being done at a fast pace. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission in the state, 29 lakh 36 thousand 958 domestic tap connections have been given against 49 lakh 92 thousand 786 families under this campaign for supply of pure drinking water. Along with this, arrangements have been made to supply pure drinking water through tap taps in 39 thousand 113 schools, 37 thousand 501 Anganwadi centers and 15 thousand 616 gram panchayat buildings and community sub-health centers of the state. Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh is at the forefront of providing domestic tap connections to 01 lakh 45 thousand 967 rural families. Similarly, in Raipur district 01 lakh 45 thousand 494, in Mahasamund district 01 lakh 45 thousand 290 households are on second and third place respectively in providing domestic tap connections.

Under this Jal Jeevan Mission, being run under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and under the guidance of Public Health Engineering Minister Guru Rudrakumar, pure drinking water is being made available at the rate of 55 liters per person per day in the state, for this action plan in all districts Preparations are being made and work is being done rapidly. Under this mission, in addition to domestic tap connections, arrangements for running water are also being made in schools, sub-health centers and Anganwadi centers. Along with this, drinking water is also being supplied in Gothans built under the ambitious scheme Narva, Garva, Ghurva, Bari of the state government. It is noteworthy that Secretary Public Health Engineering Dr. S. Bharathidasan and Mission Director Shri Alok Katiyar are continuously monitoring the implementation of the works of Jal Jeevan Mission including Single Village Scheme and Multi Village Scheme and other drinking water schemes in the state at the ground level.

So far under Jal Jeevan Mission, 01 lakh 33 thousand 373 households in Dhamtari district, 01 lakh 32 thousand 692 in Raigarh district, 01 lakh 28 thousand 590 in Bilaspur, 01 lakh 27 thousand 811 in Kawardha, 01 lakh 26 thousand 515 in Balodabazar-Bhatapara Tap connections are provided. Similarly, 01 lakh 21 thousand 471 tap connections have been given in Mungeli, 01 lakh 18 thousand 583 in Durg district and 01 lakh 17 thousand 053 in Balod. Similarly, 01 lakh 17 thousand 007 in Bemetara district, 01 lakh 15 thousand 166 in Rajnandgaon district, 01 lakh 09 thousand 141 in Sakti, 93 thousand 289 in Gariaband, 92 thousand 710 in Balrampur, 91 thousand 297 in Jashpur, 90 thousand 964 in Korba, 89 thousand 791 in Surguja district, 88 thousand 685 in Bastar have been given domestic tap connections for pure drinking water. 83 thousand 355 in Surajpur, 80 thousand 251 in Kondagaon, 76 thousand 123 in Kanker, 66 thousand 107 in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, 50 thousand 260 in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, 45 thousand 253 in Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur,
