Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today inaugurated the ‘Legal Awareness Training Camp cum Workshop’ organized by the Chhattisgarh State Women’s Commission at Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in capital Raipur. Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Anila Bhendia, Chairperson of Chhattisgarh State Commission for Women Dr. Kiranmayi Nayak and Chairperson of Chhattisgarh Child Protection Commission Smt. Tejkunwar Netam were also present on the occasion. The Chief Minister inaugurated the training camp cum workshop with garlanding the photograph of Chhattisgarh Mahtari, lighting the lamp and singing the state song. On this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel was welcomed with a state pot and a plant of Sita Ashoka which has medicinal importance. On this occasion, the Chief Minister launched the souvenir of the Women’s Commission and the mobile app “Chhattisgarh State Women’s Commission” made for online complaints. On this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that the efficiency of the people who are discharging their duties on various subjects related to women will improve further through this workshop. Also, with better coordination and cooperation, the goals can be achieved more quickly. The master trainers who will be prepared in this workshop will play an effective role in the prevention of crimes against women. The workshop focuses on highly sensitive topics like Human Trafficking, Cyber Crime and Sexual Harassment at work place.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel further said that poverty, illiteracy, ignorance are behind the crimes happening today. The government is working economically and educationally to prevent human trafficking, due to the awareness of the police officers, there has been a big decline in human trafficking, but this is not enough, human trafficking should not happen at all. Cyber crime is also increasing, there are innocent people in our Chhattisgarh, so it is necessary to make them aware, our government is also working in this direction. Economic independence is very important for women, so we effectively operated small schemes at the grassroots level.
The Chief Minister said that it is necessary for women to be financially capable. For this, the government is implementing new schemes. MNREGA works were started along with distribution of rice to give relief to the people during the Corona period. An action plan has been prepared through the group to make people financially capable. Today, women are becoming financially self-sufficient by producing vermicompost, paint and green vegetables in Gothans. Similarly, RIPA is being established to provide employment opportunities to the rural youth. This will encourage new works along with traditional works. Legal knowledge is necessary for the society to move forward and step by step with the modern times.
The Chief Minister said that the Constitution has empowered us, the welfare schemes of the government are for us, it is necessary for everyone to know about their rights and responsibilities, therefore, the Chief Minister Mahtari Nyay Rath is being operated by the State Women’s Commission. It is said that through Chief Minister Mahtari Nyay Rath, justice was also provided to the people along with the information about the rules on the spot. Modern techniques are also being used in the functioning of the Women’s Commission, so that cases can be resolved quickly. In order to make people aware, apart from short films, divisional level training is also being given through subject experts.
Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Anila Bhendia said that it is necessary for women and girls to be aware of their rights according to the times. The Commission organizes awareness programs for them. Mahtari Rath is being organized in the entire state to provide immediate justice to women. Today the self-esteem of women has increased. Women should be aware themselves and also make others aware. Everyone has to cooperate to control crime. Legal awareness is very important to change the condition and direction of the women of the state. At present, women are contributing in all areas of livelihood. Is and is becoming self-sufficient. Informing about the tenure of the Commission, the Chairperson of the State Women’s Commission, Dr. Kiranmayi Nayak said that during the tenure, the commission got justice to the harassed women by conducting hearings in all the districts of the state. The commission did all the tasks successfully with the cooperation of the administration.
Inspector General of Police Dr. Sanjay Shukla on the subject of prevention of human trafficking in legal workshop cum training, forensic expert Dr. Sunandadhenge on the topic of crime against women and precautions for evidence, AGP Ms. Presentation on cyber crime by Shamim Rehman, cyber expert Ms. Monali Guha spoke on the topic. On this occasion, the Chief Minister felicitated all the Collectors and Superintendents of Police of the districts on behalf of the Women’s Commission for their cooperation in solving the cases. On this occasion, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Vikas Upadhyay, Mayor of Raipur Municipal Corporation Mr. Ejaz Dhebar, State Women’s Commission member Mrs. Neeta Vishwakarma, Mrs. Archana Upadhyay, Mrs. Anita Raote, Mrs. Balo Baghel were present.
