Get new registration mark by September 20 after physical verification through vehicle portal

The procedure for obtaining new registration mark for Chhattisgarh has been made mandatory in the Vahan portal while registering information about change of address of vehicles coming here from all over the country to the state. Such vehicles which have brought NOC from other state, whose change of address has been registered in any transport office of Chhattisgarh in the past but have not obtained new registration mark of Chhattisgarh state. All such vehicle owners, to obtain new registration mark for the state of Chhattisgarh, after paying the prescribed fee online through the vehicle portal, make sure to submit the application in the prescribed format to the concerned transport office by September 20, 2023, after getting physical verification of the vehicle along with the necessary documents. So that advance action can be taken on the submitted application as per rules. Otherwise, strict action will be taken on such vehicles under the Motor Vehicles Act and Rules.
All vehicle related work is being done in the state through the vehicle portal developed by NIC. Under which, along with registering the information of change of address, new registration marks of Chhattisgarh state are being issued to the vehicles of other states. But before the implementation of the vehicle portal in the state, only the information of change of address of the vehicles coming from other states is recorded, out of which the new registration mark of various vehicles has not been received for the state of Chhattisgarh.
According to the information received from the Transport Headquarters, such vehicles of other states whose address change information has already been registered by any transport office of Chhattisgarh but the new registration mark of Chhattisgarh state has not been assigned, the Central Motor Vehicle Rules of such vehicles, According to Rule 54 of 1989 and Rule 55 of Chhattisgarh Motor Vehicle Rules, 1994, action is to be taken to assign new registration mark for the state of Chhattisgarh.
