Raipur: International Yoga Day: Balod district remained Yogamay

Women and Child Development Minister  Anila Bhendia participated in mass yoga practice

On the occasion of the 9th year of International Yoga Day, today on June 21, the entire Balod district was full of yoga. State’s Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Anila Bhediya participated in the district level program organized today at Ganga Maiya Temple Complex, Jhalmala.
    Addressing the program, Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Bhendia said that it is necessary to practice yoga to stay healthy. For this we have to include yoga in our daily routine. Municipal President Mr. Vikas Chopra, Collector Mr. Kuldeep Sharma, Superintendent of Police Mr. Jitendra Yadav, Forest Officer Mr. Ayush Jain, Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat Dr. Renuka Srivastava, Additional Superintendent of Police Mr. Harish Rathore along with public representatives, school children and elders A large number of common citizens participated in the program and practiced yoga collectively.  
    Yogacharya Mr. Purushottam Singh Rajput and other Yogacharyas gave information about the importance and utility of each asana while conducting mass yoga practice to the people present in the program. In the Yoga exercise program, people were made to practice subtle exercises, cervical movements, hand movements, shoulder movements, Tadasana, Vrikshasan, Vajrasan, Uttanmandukasan, Bhujangasan, Shalabhasan, Pawanmuktasan, Anulom-Vilom, Kapalbhati, Bhramari under Pranayama.
    Apart from the district headquarter Balod, all development block headquarters, urban body and government and semi-government offices, gram panchayats, rural industrial park, Amrit Sarovar, schools etc. in the district, common people also practiced yoga at their homes.
