The Road Safety World Series Cricket Tournament will be organized from March 2 to 21 March 2021 at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Parsada, Nava Raipur, to bring awareness to adopt road safety rules to prevent road accidents. In connection with the preparatory preparations for organizing the cricket tournament, Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain today held discussions with senior officials of the departments related to the event and representatives of the Professional Management Group of the event at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhavan here. He has instructed to organize this cricket tournament organized to bring public awareness towards road safety, following the guidelines of rescue from Kovid-19, as well as instructions to submit a detailed outline of the event to the Professional Management Group. is.
The Chief Secretary has given instructions to decide the nodal officer of the departments associated with the event. He has said that after jointly observing the stadium, the nodal officers and members of the management group will take information about the resources and facilities necessary for the organization of the match and will carry out repair work. Shri Jain has given instructions to provide drinking water free of cost during the match in the stadium. Cleanliness of the stadium has been asked to be done regularly during the duration of the match. Various issues related to the event including the operation of buses, control of traffic, law and safety system, players’ stay and arrival to the match venue, health check-up for the movement of sports lovers during the match event. It is known that the Road Safety World Series Cricket Tournament was started in March 2020 with an aim to make people aware of road safety. The tournament will feature senior players like Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Brianlara, Jonty Rood, Brett Lee, T Dilshan. The cricket tournament will include cricket teams from India, Australia, South Africa, West Indies, Sri Lanka and other countries.
