Raipur, 11 June 2023

Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Anila Bhendia appealed to the people on the occasion of International Child Labor Prohibition Day on June 12 and said that child labor comes under the category of crime, so do not put children’s lives at stake for your little selfishness. Children are the future of the society and the country.

Mrs. Bhendia said that many cases of child labor and child trafficking continue to come to the fore even today. People have started getting small children to work in factories as well as in their homes and shops. During this, many incidents of abuse and violence against children have also come to light. He said that taking children below 14 years of age to do such work which is unsafe for their health and life is a legal offense. The government takes legal action against such people, but for this it is necessary for every citizen to be aware. Be alert and aware of any incidents of illegal employment, violence, crime and abuse towards children and inform the police, child line, women and child development department or administration. Our sensitive thinking towards children will decide the future of the country and the state.
