The final matches of the Chief Minister’s Trophy India International Badminton Challenge-2022 going on in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, will be played tomorrow on 25 September. Along with this, the closing ceremony of this badminton tournament will also take place. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will attend the closing ceremony of the badminton tournament as the chief guest. The special guest will be former All England Badminton winner Shri Gopi Chand. It is worth noting that for the first time, an international level tournament of badminton is being organized in Chhattisgarh. This event is being organized by the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel and his special efforts. All the matches of the said tournament are being played at the Eye Sports Badminton Arena located at Mowa in the capital Raipur. The prize money in this competition has been fixed at 15 thousand US dollars.
550 badminton players from Sri Lanka, Thailand, Canada, USA, Maldives, Mauritius, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Japan, Uganda and Zambia, including India, participated in the Chief Minister’s Trophy India International Badminton Challenge-2022, which started from September 20 in Chhattisgarh. joined in. During this matches are being played in men’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s singles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles categories. The qualifying matches were held here on 20 and 21 September. Then the main draw matches took place. Today the semi-final matches were played, tomorrow the final matches will be played in all categories.

While Priyanshu Rajawat (India) defeated Yu Igarashi (Japan) 21-16, 21-15 to reach the final. In the women’s singles semi-final match, Samia Imad Farooqui (India) defeated East Barve (India) 22-20, 21-15, while Tasneem Mir (India) defeated Malvika Bansod (India) 21-16, 14-21, They entered the finals by defeating them 22-20.
In the men’s doubles semi-final matches, the pair of Krishna Prasad Garaga and Vishnuvardhan Goud Panjala (India) defeated Chaloempon Charoenkitamorn and Nanthakarna Yordphisong (Thailand) 12-21, 21-18, 21-14 and Ishan Bhatnagar and Sai Prateek.
