Agriculture Minister Shri Choubey released the poster and brochure of Agri Carnival

Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey, in his residence office here today , organized the International Agricultural Farming by Indira Gandhi Agricultural University , Raipur in collaboration with the Agriculture Department of the State Government and other national and international institutions in the next month from October 14 to 18 , 2022 . ” Agri Carnival 2022″Poster and brochure released. On this occasion, Agriculture Minister Shri Choubey said that Chhattisgarh Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel is determined to develop agriculture and betterment of farmers in the state. He said that Indira Gandhi Agricultural University is working in tandem with the state government for advanced agricultural technology development and prosperity of farmers and is playing an important role in agricultural development. Mr. Choubey said that organizing a five-day International Agricultural Farming is a commendable effort , through which farmers , students and common citizens can get new technology , new research , innovation ,New information will be received regarding crop processing and value addition and entrepreneurship development. Along with this, farmers , school students and general public will also be given direct demonstration of advanced agricultural research conducted in the Indira Gandhi Agricultural University campus. So that they will be aware of the new techniques of agriculture. MLAs Shri Vinay Bhagat , Shri Dharamjit Singh and Smt. Mamta Chandrakar and Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Dr. Girish Chandel were present on the occasion.
The Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Dr. Girish Chandel told the Agriculture Minister that the State Government’s Agriculture Department , Chhattisgarh Biotechnology Promotion Society , International Rice Research Institute , Philippines , NABARD , Consultative Group of International Agricultural Research , Agriculture by Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Raipur. And in collaboration with Processed Food Export Development Authority (APEDA) , NABL and other organizations, International Agriculture Farmer ” Agri Carnival 2022″ will be organized from October 14 to 18 ,In which directors of international and national level institutions , agricultural scientists , senior officers of various agricultural product manufacturing companies , startup entrepreneurs and a large number of progressive farmers will be involved. A large International Agriculture Fair cum exhibition will also be organized on this occasion. Every day during the Agri Carnival, a tour of the crops being grown in the research area of the university and agricultural exhibition will be organized for the farmers , students and common citizens.
Various programs will be organized during this five-day agricultural farm , including buyer-seller conferences , workshop on innovation startups and entrepreneurship , seminar on processing and export of minor forest produce, training for biodiversity conservation and registration of farmer species to increase export of agricultural produce. Workshop , training by NABL for validation of testing laboratories , crop breeding modernization and digitization etc. are prominent. In agriculture, new varieties of crops , alternative crops that give more income , new agricultural technology , natural and organic agriculture , bio-fertilizers and bio-pesticides ,Subject matter experts in relation to animal husbandry , fish farming and fodder production , integrated crop nutrients and pest and disease management , soil fertility and soil health , rainwater management and ground water enrichment , protected farming , advanced agricultural machinery processing and value addition etc. Information will be given by scientists. During this, the successful entrepreneurs of agro-based startups will also be provided guidance to the youth willing to set up new startups. About 20 thousand farmers are expected to participate in the International Agricultural Farming .
