Collector Dr Sarveshwar Bhure visited four villages of the district even today and inquired about the problems and demands of the people. Dr Bhure reached Baroda, Barbanda, Pathri and Nilja villages of Dharsiwa block today amid drizzling rain. In these villages, the collector took stock of the arrangements in Gauthans, schools, Anganwadi centers and met the local public representatives and residents. During this, he took information from the villagers about the implementation of government schemes and asked them about their problems and demands. During this, CEO of District Panchayat Dr. Ravi Mittal, District Program Officer Shail Thakur and other officers were also present.

Collector Dr Bhure today inspected the Anganwadi center after reaching Baroda village. He took stock of the facilities available at the center for the children. The Collector instructed the Sarpanch and the Women and Child Development Officer to install paver blocks in front of the Anganwadi and also checked the ready-to-eat nutritious food given to the children. The Collector made a surprise inspection of Gothan of Barbanda village. He took information about the livelihood activities going on in Gothan from the Director’s Committee. Collector instructed to continue other activities including poultry farming, goat rearing, So that women groups get continuous employment and they also get continuous income. He also bought cow dung in Barbanda Gauthan and inquired about the production of vermicompost. The collector inspected the vermi stitches in Gauthan and asked the members of the women’s groups to follow the prescribed procedure for making manure. The members of the group told that this time around 15 thousand rupees have been earned from poultry farming so far. Vermi compost will also be ready in eight to ten days. Women told that bio gas is also being made from cow dung and connections have also been given to 8-10 houses of the village. People of these houses are using cow dung as fuel for cooking food etc. Dr. Bhure expressed happiness over this and instructed the officials to buy cow dung regularly and keep the cow dung safe.

Dr. Bhure also visited the Swami Atmanand Sarovar (pond) of Barbanda. He observed the beautification works done earlier in the lake. The Collector expressed his displeasure over the filth, dung etc. caused by the movement of animals on the pavement of the lake and the Sarpanch got it cleaned. gave instructions. He also instructed to take the services of a gardener for cleaning the lake, clearing bushes, small trees and taking care of the flowering attractive plants. He instructed the Gram Panchayat Secretary to make arrangements to stop the movement of animals in the lake premises.
Dr Bhure also made a surprise visit to the Health and Wellness Center at Barbanda. He saw the facilities available for the treatment of sick people at the centre. The Collector also inquired about the OPD in the hospital with delivery etc. and directed the doctors, nurses and other staff to provide better treatment facilities. He also asked to keep sufficient quantity of medicines and other equipments available in the hospital. The posted nurse told that the center has OPD of 20-25 people every day and there is also facility for delivery of pregnant women.
