Raipur 30 September. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel reviewed the status of implementation of Chief Minister Urban Slum Health Scheme in urban areas of the state at his residence office here today. Chief Secretary R.K. P. Mandal, Additional Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Subrata Sahu and officials of other departments were present.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel expressed displeasure over the indifference being felt by the Urban Administration and Labor Department in providing medical facilities to the citizens in the slum areas of the urban areas. Instructed to give the benefit of health facility.
During the review meeting, the Chief Minister also reviewed the situation of the introduction of mobile medical units for regular home access healthcare in slum areas. It is noteworthy that a provision of Rs 55 lakh has been made for the operation of 60 mobile medical units in slum areas of 14 municipal areas of the state. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel directed the Secretary of Urban Administration Department to discuss this with all the urban bodies today and start running the mobile medical unit service soon. He said that the health of the people of the slum area should be regularly checked and they should be given treatment and medicines free of cost.
In compliance with the Chief Minister’s directive, the Secretary of the Urban Administration Department took a virtual meeting of the officials of all the urban bodies of the state and inquired about the implementation of the Chief Minister’s Urban Slum Health Scheme and gave instructions to accelerate and accelerate it
. Through the MBBS doctor in the slum areas, the facilities of medical consultation, pathology examination, free medicines, referral based free ambulance and free radiology in the government hospital for special treatment will be made available to the people.
