   Raipur, 12 January 2021. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister T.S. Singh Dev reviewed the departmental work at Thakur Pyare Lal Panchayat and Rural Development Institute Nimora today. Keeping special emphasis on the development works as well as the Gram Panchayat Development Scheme, he directed to schedule a day for the weekly meeting of the rural secretariats at the panchayat level for quick redressal of small problems of the villagers. In this meeting at the village panchayat level, the Panchayat Secretary, Patwari, Cooperative Extension Officer, Rural Agricultural Extension Authority, Lineman, Hand Pump Mechanic and Cooperative Society servants will be present to resolve the problems of the villagers. 
    Minister  Singh Dev asked to start the process of filling up the vacant posts of Panchayat Secretaries at the earliest, so that the work of Panchayats would continue smoothly. He directed the officers to ensure 100% use of individual and community toilets and their maintenance under Swachh Bharat Mission. Singh Dev said that the solid and liquid waste management should be implemented properly. He said that there is a different scenario of waste management in rural and urban areas, after studying it properly implement the plan, So that this work goes on for a long time and the sanitation of this work will remain the source of income for the lamps and cleaning workers. Minister  Singh Dev also shared the experiences of solid and liquid waste management adopted in Ambikapur. He directed the officials to use the funds received from the World Bank under Swachh Bharat Mission by 31 January 2021, compulsorily. 
    Mr. Arun Baroka, Additional Joint Secretary, Government of India was also present at the meeting.  Baroka said that toilets should be made compulsory in all houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. There is no shortage of funds for toilets. 500 crore has been released despite Kovid-19, use this fund. He said that during construction of the drain, keep in mind that clean water should also go to the water sources and ponds and the surrounding environment should also be clean. Minister Mr. Singhdev said that meetings of General Assembly and Standing Committees of District Panchayats should also be held regularly. He said that the people’s representatives have constitutional rights. Listen to their words respectfully and implement whatever is appropriate as per the rules. He conducted district wise panchayats audit expenditure of 14th Financial Commission, audit of all Panchayati Raj Institutions in the year 2019-20, Detailed review of taxation and arrear recovery, works done under Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen and development commissioner’s office for the income growth of Panchayats. Secretary, Panchayat and Rural Development  R.K.
