Raipur, 11 February 2022. Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain today purchased paddy from Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan on support price in the Kharif year 2021-22, lifting of paddy for milling and other important subjects including depositing rice in Food Corporation of India and Civil Supplies Corporation. He said that as of today 30 lakh tonnes of paddy is available in the societies. For milling, the paddy will be lifted directly from the committees by the millers. The remaining paddy will be kept safe in the collection centres. During this period, Shri Jain has given instructions to conduct physical verification of the paddy purchased in the committees, the paddy raised for milling and the remaining paddy every week. This process of physical verification will continue till the end of paddy lifting. During this sudden rain, Instructions have been given to make elaborate security arrangements to avoid rat and other types of accidents. After milling, the target of depositing 30 thousand metric tonnes of rice per day in the Food Civil Supplies Corporation has been asked to continue. After the purchase of paddy, after discussing with five percent farmers who get more and less sale amount in each district, they have been asked to encourage them to produce crops other than paddy.
In the remaining period of the financial year 2021-22, instructions have been given to make efforts to get maximum revenue from the registration of land. In order to increase the revenue through registration, various types of exemptions are being given by the state government to the buyers of the land till March 31, 2022. In the meeting, it has been asked to expedite the construction of individual household toilets under the Swachh Bharat Mission. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, all the Anganwadis, schools, health centers in the district, It has been asked to expedite the work of arrangement of drinking water in ashram-shalas and habitations. People who have taken the first dose of Kovid vaccination have been asked to conduct an awareness campaign to take the second dose. Innovations have been called for at the local level to vaccinate the survivors of vaccination.
