There is good news for the players and sports lovers of Raigarh. With the initiative of Finance Minister Shri O.P. Chaudhary, sports infrastructure is going to be created at a cost of Rs 3.67 crore with the aim of beautifying various sports grounds of the city and providing better sports facilities. For the first time in Raigarh city, modern box cricket courts will be built keeping in mind the interest of the youth. This box cricket court will be prepared in total 9 places including 8 grounds of Raigarh city and 01 ground of Nagar Panchayat Pusaur. In which there will be facility of software based spot booking with lights for players to practice even at night. Similarly, badminton courts will also be built at 10 places. Which mainly includes places like Sanjay Maidan Rambantha, Ramlila Maidan, Martyr Colonel Viplav Tripathi Stadium, Polytechnic College Ground, Raigarh Stadium Boiradadar, Natwar School Ground of the city. Along with this, boundary walls will also be prepared in various sports grounds. The proposal for this has been approved. The above work will be done from DMF item. Finance Minister Shri O.P. Chaudhary reviewed the progress of construction of these sports infrastructures during his visit to Raigarh last day. While giving instructions to Collector Shri Karthikeya Goyal, he said that the work should be started immediately after completing the tender process. So that the players and sports lovers of the city can get the benefits of all these facilities soon.
Among the approved works, construction work of boundary wall facing light etc. will be done in Sanjay Maidan Raigarh at a cost of Rs 49.80 lakh, construction work of Bandmiton Court at a cost of Rs 8.71 lakh and Box Cricket Court at a cost of Rs 20.33 lakh will be done in Sanjay Maidan Raigarh. Similarly, construction work of Bandmiton Court at a cost of Rs 8.71 lakh and Box Cricket Court at a cost of Rs 20.33 lakh will be done in Martyr Colonel Viplav Tripathi Stadium, Raigarh. Similarly, construction work of Bandmiton Court at a cost of Rs. 8.71 lakh and Box Cricket Court at a cost of Rs. 20.33 lakh at Ramlila Maidan Raigarh, Bandmiton Court at a cost of Rs. 8.71 lakh and Box Cricket Court at a cost of Rs. 20.33 lakh at Polytechnic College Ground. Construction work of Bandmiton Court at a cost of Rs. 8.71 lakh at Kauhakunda School Ground, construction work of Bandmiton Court at a cost of Rs. 8.71 Lakh at Chhatamuda School Ground, Raigarh and construction work of Box Cricket Court at a cost of Rs. 20.33 Lakh at Raigarh Stadium Ground.
