Families of martyred soldiers honored

In Sukma district, 77th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in a dignified atmosphere. Industries Minister Mr. Kawasi Lakhma took the salute of the parade by hoisting the flag at the district level Independence Day function organized at Mini Stadium, Sukma on the 76th anniversary of independence. After inspection and salute of the parade, the chief guest released white doves symbolizing peace and love and colorful balloons symbolizing joy and gaiety in the sky and wished everyone a happy Independence Day. After this, the message sent by the Chief Minister of the state Mr. Bhupesh Baghel to the people of the state was read out.
In the ceremony, Minister Mr. Lakhma honored the families of the martyred soldiers by giving them shawls and shreefal. Along with this, citations were also given to the officers and employees of the district who did excellent work in the departments. Along with this, the group that presented excellent parade performance and cultural program in the Independence Day program was also honored.
District Panchayat President Mr. Harish Kawasi, Chhattisgarh Animal Welfare Board member Mr. Karandev Singh, Municipal Council President Mr. Jagannath Sahu, CRPF DIG Mr. Arvind Rai, Collector Mr. Haris were present in the ceremony. S and Superintendent of Police Mr. Kiran Chavan, along with other public representatives and senior administrative officers, dignitaries, school children and general public were present.
