Raipur: Industries Minister Mr. Kavasi Lakhma visited Gauthan

Raipur, 9 February 2021.  State Industries Minister Mr. Kavasi Lakhma visited the village Gothaniras during his stay in Sukma district today. He took stock of various livelihood activities conducted there and fed the cow green fodder in Gauthan.
Minister Shri Kavasi Lakhma said that the work of promotion of Narva, Garuva and Ghuaruwa Bari is being proved beneficial for the rural people under the Suraji village scheme of Chhattisgarh government. This has given new employment opportunities to women and villagers of self-help groups and they have also got economic support.
Industries Minister Shri Lakhma also inspected the cultivation of vegetables in Gauthan and encouraged the women of the group. The state government is purchasing cow dung at the rate of Rs 2 per kg from the villagers under the Godan Nyaya Yojana, from which they are receiving additional economic benefits. Along with this, Vermikhad is being made from cow dung in Gothan, using which farmer brothers are producing nutritious grains, fruits and vegetables by doing organic farming. During this, District Panchayat President Mr. Harish Kavasi, along with public representative Mrs. Maheshwari Baghel and Collector Mr. Vineet Nandanwar, Superintendent of Police and villagers were present.
