Raipur: Incubation centers will open in engineering colleges

Units to be set up on the basis of mineral resources, forest produce and agricultural produce – Mr. Singhdev

Raipur, 07 March 2021.  Incubation centers will be opened in engineering colleges in Chhattisgarh. This information was given at the one-day district level workshop of the Entrepreneurship in Rajiv Gandhi Government Postgraduate College, Ambikapur today. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri T.S. The workshop was started by lighting the lamp in the chairmanship of Singhdev’s Chief Hospitality, Commerce and Industry Minister Mr. Kavasi Lakhma and in the distinguished hospitality of School Education Minister Dr. Premasai Singh Tekam. The workshop was attended by industrialists from Surguja, Surajpur and Balrampur-Ramanujganj districts, prospective entrepreneurs and students from College of Engineering, Polytechnic College and Agricultural College.
Minister Shri T.S. Addressing the workshop, Singhdev said that Surguja region is an area covered with minerals and forests. Mineral resources here, Establishment of industrial units on the basis of forest produce and agricultural produce will provide encouragement to local entrepreneurs and employment to people. He said that no society can move forward and reach the destination until it adopts industries to a certain extent. In order to promote industrialization in Chhattisgarh and to facilitate entrepreneurs, a new industry policy 2019 has been formulated. To formulate this policy, suggestions were taken from industrialists in several cities of the state after the conference. Under this policy, if the industrialist invests Rs 100 capital in tribal areas, then the government will provide Rs 150 assistance. He said that no industrialist is generally interested in setting up his unit far away from the city as he needs convenience. Keeping these things in mind, we will have to make traffic and other materials accessible in rural areas. For this, the raw material is available nearby and there is a better market for the product so that We can supply goods quickly. Mr. Singhdev said that it is not possible to give government jobs to all educated youth in today’s situation. Think of becoming a young entrepreneur. The government will cooperate fully in taking them forward. He directed the departmental officers to connect the youth with every possibility of self-employment so that more and more youths participate in every field.
Industries Minister Mr. Kavasi Lakhma said that due to the new industrial policy of our government, the state’s industries were not closed even during the Corona period, but 1200 new units were established. Chhattisgarh is the fastest growing industrial state in the country. Our industry policy is very simple. He said that for the establishment of food parks in all the development blocks of the state, land is being acquired rapidly. In this, land of tribal and weaker sections is not being taken. Will be taken only if you want to give voluntarily. He said that our aim is to establish industry not only in cities but also in rural areas. With this, we have not only started to set up the industry, but it has also been targeted to complete it in 18 months.
School Education Minister Dr Premasai Singh Tekam said that there is a need to make a plan keeping in mind how people can benefit from the industry and the potential that can be created for the industry in Surguja division. In Surguja, mahua in the form of small forest produce can be made into laddus, pickles, jams, sanitizers etc. He said that a large amount of gunny is required to purchase paddy. The industry of jute is not yet in Chhattisgarh. It can be started. Similarly, preparation can be done to make ethanal from sugarcane and maize. He said that kodo, kutki and ragi can be produced and processed, which is in great demand in the market.
Parliamentary Secretary Shri Parasnath Rajwade, Lundra MLA Dr. Pritam Ram also addressed the workshop. Highlighting the purpose of the workshop, Collector Shri Sanjeev Kumar Jha said that industrial atmosphere is to be created in Surguja from this workshop. He said that the present entrepreneurs and departmental officers should communicate with each other to share their problems, suggestions and ideas.
