Under this, any person who buys an electric vehicle can get subsidy from the state government. For this, the vehicle seller dealer will have to give his account number and IFS code. 10 percent of the value of the vehicle, subject to a maximum of Rs 1.5 lakh, will be directly transferred by the Transport Department to the account of the electric vehicle buyer.
According to the information received from Transport Commissioner Mr. Deepanshu Kabra, at present 71 thousand 736 electric vehicles have been registered in the state so far. In these, 27 thousand 110 in Raipur under Transport Office, 8 thousand 272 in Durg, 7 thousand 438 in Bilaspur, 4 thousand 302 in Ambikapur, 3 thousand 461 in Rajnandgaon, 3 thousand 311 in Korba, 3 thousand 243 in Raigarh, 2 thousand in Balodabazar. 415 and Janjgir-Champa 2 thousand 367 vehicle owners have been benefited by the electric policy.
